Ellis Chapel Anniversary Service

Ellis Chapel opened in 1861 as a place of worship in Puslinch Township. Join us on Sunday Aug 13 and help celebrate our 156th anniversary. The non-denominational service begins at 2:30 pm with a congregational hymn sing, followed by guest speaker and well-known story-teller, Rev Ann Estill, and special music by Kevin Kenalty. Refreshments are served in the chapel garden following the service. All are welcome. For directions see www.ellischapel.ca

REMINDER: Special government match available for food emergency in South Sudan

Dear Foodgrains Bank Supporter,

Twenty million people in Somalia, South Sudan, Nigeria and Yemen are facing famine. It is being called the largest humanitarian crisis in over 70 years.

Canadian Foodgrains Bank is responding. Since January, we have provided $2.5 million of help for over 70,000 people.

But more needs to be done. Until June 30, the Canadian government will offer a 1:1 match on EVERY gift given towards famine relief in places we are working such as South Sudan, Nigeria and Somalia.
