Chalmers' Open House

On Sunday, November 26th between 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. drop in and see Chalmers’ new downtown space. Volunteers will be available to show the lay-out of our space, how guests are received and how our services – food, clothing, mending, hospitality - are offered. Refreshments will be available. Entrance is on Macdonell Street, parking may also be available on Carden Street.

Welcome Back To The Cafe

The Tuesday Morning Cafe will officially open on Tuesday, December 12 from 9:30-11 am.  Please join us for coffee, juice, and refreshments, and to see our new cafe.

This initiative is made possible by the Community Fund for Canada's 150th, a collaboration between the Guelph Community Foundation, the Government of Canada, and extraordinary leaders from coast to coast to coast.

The United Way - Improving Lives Locally

Like all charities in Canada, Chalmers Community Services Centre depends on a variety of funding sources to be able to carry out its mandate - private and corporate donations, foundations, church outreach and discretionary funds, service clubs, trades unions, fundraising events.

The single largest source of funds to CCSC is the United Way of Guelph- Wellington-Dufferin. United Way funds have traditionally been awarded on a three-year basis which means there is a certainty about these dollars, providing assurance that the moneys will be remitted each and every month for three years. The United Way provides almost 20% of Chalmers’ annual operating budget.
