Presbyteries Seeking Youth Forum Delegates

January 9, 2012

Plans are underway for Youth Forum at General Council 41, August 11–18, 2012, in Ottawa, Ontario. Are you or someone you know age 15-20 and

  • passionate about The United Church of Canada
  • a leader in your church and community
  • seeking a deepening of your faith
  • willing to express your faith (this can be in many different ways)
  • interested in being part of a community of youth who are passionate about The United Church of Canada and sharing their faith

Applicants are selected to represent their presbyteries. Applications are available from presbytery secretaries and Conference staff and on the GC41 website. They are due back to your presbytery on February 1, 2012.

In harmony with the theme of General Council, Youth Forum participants will explore identity and connection through three experiential streams that focus on Seeking Justice, Loving Kindness, and Walking Humbly with God. Youth Forum participants will have engage the Ottawa/Hull/Gatineau community and contribute to difficult conversations about tough issues that are facing our church and our world.
