On Sunday April 11, from 3:00 to 5:00PM, Harcourt’s Adult Christian Faith Formation group, in conjunction with the Guelph Seminar, will host Dr. Peter Emberley in a lecture tentatively titled “The Religious Search in an Uncertain World.”

Dr. Emberley is a professor of Political Science and Philosophy at Carleton University in Ottawa. He has written several books on education as well as Divine Hunger. Canadians on a Spiritual Walkabout.  In his study he concluded that many people have become disillusioned with the failure of science, “progress” and secular consumerism and have turned to a variety of new and not so new approaches to satisfying their hunger for spiritual depth.

While part of Dr Emberley's talk will focus on the needs of baby-boomers, the predominant part of the presentation will reflect on why the religious search is so difficult for us living in an uncertain world.

The presentation is free, donations will collected.
